iVGI is now offically abandoned, I will no longer be updating the website with new icons. My only wish is that the icons on this site remain free, distributed free, and that you give credit where credit is due (like a namecheck).

Last update evar!!!!111one????? :-o ;)
Yay! iVGI has been two years old for a while now, And as part of a celebrational type gift, I've compiled a special Iconpack along side the normal run-of-the-mill Iconpack too. The special pack is crammed to the rafters with all the hardware icons over the past two years. So if you were only looking for hardware icons, for an emulator say, then this is the pack for you. :)
In Iconpack 24 we've rounded off my Zoo Keeper fetish with all the beasts from the game...and started on Tetris DX. All the blocks from Tetris DX. The reason I picked Tetris DX over the bog standard Tetris is quite simply...colour, and the fact I recently picked up an old Gameboy Color for ten quid. :)
I've also decided to take a break for a while from making all these icons, as it is eating up way too much of my time. I have no idea when iVGI will return, but you'll be the first to know via the Blog. Cheers for stopping by, reading, downloading, requesting, mailing, blog-reading.

Double the download / Half way there
Don't panic about the birthday gift, it's going to be uploaded with the next iconpack, so it'll be double the download!. :)
I'm halfway through the next iconpack in which I'll be putting Zoo Keeper to bed. You'll be in for all those lovely and not so lovely animals as they appear in the game itself (IE...the faces you touch on the bottom screen). I would really like to tell you more, but that would spoilt the surprise for you. :D

The Blog has landed
Seeing as the guesbook was being swamped by guestbook spammers, I figured it was time to get the blog in to action. :) I've posted all the previous news items as post-dated blog entries, just to keep some perspective and history to the site, which I've only just realized is nearly two years old!
You can leave videogame icon requests in the "leave a comment" bit, or just leave comments.

Zoo Keeper!
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Iconpack 23. This update has been heavily influenced by the games I'm currently playing at the moment, like Zoo Keeper, Zoo Keeper and...er...Zoo Keeper!
That game is so addictive, it's a wonder I finished pack 23. Anyway, it's done and ready to download. The next update will be another one off, as I'm working on a special pack for your delectation. So keep your eye out for that. ;)

Pack 22 is up at last! Since the last update I've been pondering the idea of keeping an iVGI blog. It would mainly feature what games I'm playing and taking screenshots of, Sneek previews of icons being made, Plus it would be another outlet for feedback from you guys.??
Since the last update I have attended the latest Retrovision (RV5) and had a total blast. I've also pre-ordered a Nintendo DS which I had seen being played at RV5. Very nice machines I can tell you. ;)
Right, that's about it for now. Keep the requests coming in and I'll see you next update...or even in a Blog of somekind.

DOS'ing around
Most of the icons in pack 21 are from old DOS shareware classics, like Commander Keen, Jazz Jackrabbit and Blake Stone 3D. I used to play these games far too much in the office, seeing as they were dirt cheap. :)
That's it! That's all from iVGI for the year that was 2004. I'll see you all in 2005 with a new batch of icons.

Happy 20th iconpack!
The waiting is over, the special 20th iconpack has landed! Included amongst the 100 icons is the entire collection of Space Harrier characters. Not only that, All of the Lemmings characters too! (You lucky people...you!)
There has also been another small change. I've zipped up the first 10 Iconpacks into one big huge mega iconpack of 1000 icons!
Now if you'll excuse me, Halo 2 is calling me... ;)

Pack of 50 please
Iconpack 19 has now been uploaded, but with a difference. I've taken the managerial decision to reduce the size of the icon packs from the heavyweight 100 icons, to a more manageable 50 per iconpack. This means more updates, more often. Hurrar!
Also, something very special is planned for the next update, on the occasion of the 20th iconpack. So you'll have to wait and see what happens. Excited? You should be! ;)

Mini update
Rather than wait for another full 100 icon update, it seemed best to release a mini-update of 50 icons, just to prove iVGI is still alive and kicking. I've also updated and made a few changes to the?Links page too.
With the latest batch of icons I've used a different freeware program called "Liquidicon XP". I cannot stress enough how good this program is. Excellent value (..er...it's free!) and easy to use. Pound for pound it wastes the opposition. Microa...who?
Thank you for your patience, Hopefully the next FULL update won't take as long. ;)

New LQQK!
I finally got around to getting this new look up and running ( Let's hear it for 4-day holiday weekends! ). The whole redesign malarkey seemed more pleasurable on my new Laptop. Plus I get to look at all the icons in a whole new light via an LCD screen.
To be honest, I did get a bit despondent about the whole palaver of redesigning iVGI. Making sure it looked roughly the same in a plethora of web browsers, porting all the relevant links, images and the likes. Still, I think you will agree, it was worth it. :)
